Children and Youth Christian Education and Formation

We welcome all youth of elementary school age to be transformed in Christ, through worship, fellowship, and service. We hold Sunday School for children in kindergarten through 5th grade during our 10 a.m. and Noon services on Sundays.

Children participating in Sunday School learn about the Bible through the Weaving God’s Promises curriculum, which is detailed below. The children are returned to the sanctuary in time to receive communion with their families.

Youth in middle or high school are welcome to participate in our worship service by volunteering as lectors, who read the lessons during worship, or acolytes, including carrying the torches as part of the processions.

Some of us are active in the life of our diocese (our wider governing community), getting to know other youth around our church, through summer camp, faith in action (outreach and service), and social and fellowship events. We also enjoy fellowship with each other in our group of youth here a Trinity.

Sunday School

We offer Sunday School for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade during our 10 a.m. and Noon services from mid-August through mid-May. Children gather at the base of the stairs in the Olney Gallery and are led up to the Auditorium, which is on the third floor in the southeast part of our campus.

Instruction is provided using the Weaving God’s Promises curriculum. It is a program of faith formation and development which seeks to holds as a foundation how God’s promises of salvation are inextricably woven into our lives. The goal is to teach children the way of Christ, not only in the church but also in the world. Through this church school curriculum, we hope to foster the spiritual formation and growth of our children in Christ’s love and mercy, to teach the spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation, and to send our children out into the world as Christ’s ambassadors.

Children return to the sanctuary in time to receive communion with their families.
