Trinity Episcopal Cathedral
Dear friends,
What a year! Everyone has been touched by the effects of the pandemic. Major upheaval has changed the way we live, how we conduct school and work, even the way we interact with loved ones. In many ways pandemic restrictions have made our worlds smaller and tightly restrained. While in some respects that is true, we have also witnessed a greatly expanded reach and ministry of Trinity Cathedral as God continues to be our guide.
For decades, the people of Trinity have been faithful to our stewardship and mission, immersing ourselves in abundant offerings of worship, fellowship, and service. When the time came in early March for the Cathedral community to answer God’s call and claim our place in our greater community, the people of Trinity stepped up to respond. In these actions we have come even more fully alive!
In the midst of it all, Trinity has expanded and addressed specific community needs such as:
- Food security for our neighbors
- Heat relief for those experiencing homelessness
- Action in urgent social justice causes
- Supporting congregants in challenging financial situations
- Embracing a socially isolated community through online services and programs
By staying open to the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, the people of Trinity welcomed new technologies, new people, and new ministries. We have been transformed into an innovative and creative cathedral community where God makes all things possible.
Trinity is open. Trinity is active. Trinity is fully alive. God’s love is celebrated in many forms of worship and we are refreshed in online fellowship. Service to Trinity members is strong and we touch the larger Phoenix community every day in so many ways.
You have been exceptionally faithful stewards of our Trinity this year. Now, we need your prayers, your participation, and your financial support as we look toward our future. Trinity Cathedral is an oasis of love in the midst of major uncertainty. Your stewardship commitment for 2021 is vital to continue this work in the world.
Together with God’s love we will see Trinity Cathedral even more open, more active, and more alive than ever before. To complete your 2021 pledge simply complete and submit the form below.
In Christ’s peace and love,
The Very Reverend Troy D. Mendez, Dean
