 th the 68 string quartets composed over the course of his career\, Franz Jo
 sef Haydn established the combination of two violins\, viola and cello as a
 n essential genre. While he has come to be called the "Father of the String
  Quartet" Haydn also composed numerous string trios\, piano trios\, and flu
 te chamber music. In this concert\, Urban Nocturnes will explore the range 
 of Haydn's chamber music\, performing select movements from works for strin
 gs\, piano and winds.\nThis concert is sponsored by Gail Browne and Frances
