 ffer the only Choral Evensong of the season on Sunday\, March 7 at 4:00 PM.
  Observed since the Middle Ages\, Mothering Sunday is traditionally the tim
 e when people return to their nearest cathedral\, the mother church of thei
 r diocese. For this service\, the Cathedral Choir will sing the first perfo
 rmance of Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in G Minor by Michael McCabe\, espec
 ially commissioned for this event (the composer will be in attendance). Oth
 er music includes the Preces and Responses of William Byrd and the anthem L
