Myra Kingsley is a Deacon in the Episcopal Church ordained in 2009 serving at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Her ministry focus is addressing the needs of those living on the margins of our society at a local and global level. To that end, she chaired the Diocesan Committee for sustainable development (Millennium Development Goals) in countries with citizens living in extreme poverty. She also has traveled to Haiti as a nurse to work in a hospital in Port Au Prince in the aftermath of the earthquake there. Currently, her work is primarily in the area of community development and outreach, working with Garfield Elementary School, identifying and implementing ways that the community of Trinity Cathedral can help the children and families in the Cathedral neighborhood. Myra is actively engaged working with ICM, (formerly Interfaith Cooperative Ministries) a food and clothing bank serving the working poor. Currently, she is serving as Board President working with the board to oversee the strategic and financial sustainability of ICM.

Myra is also a retired Registered Nurse, who cared for the critically ill patient in the Intensive Care Unit. Prior to retiring she also worked in Quality Improvement and Compliance for the St. Joseph’s Children’s Rehabilitative Services and with the United Health Care, Arizona Long Term Care program.

Myra is married to Donald Kingsley who is also retired and volunteers at ICM and loves every minute of it! She has three children and five grandchildren aged 4 to 16.
